Vintage 2025: a contrasting yet promising year

The year 2025 will be remembered as a vintage marked by contrasting weather, with periods of mild conditions, a few welcome rain episodes, and a dry summer that shaped the character of the grapes. Despite these variations, the vines made the most of the climate, allowing for steady and harmonious ripening.

A mild and early start to the year

The vegetative cycle began under relatively mild temperatures. Budbreak occurred slightly early, encouraged by a warm spring. Regular rainfall in May and June ensured sufficient water supply for the vines while maintaining balanced growth.

A dry summer that concentrated the berries

From July onwards, the climate shifted toward much drier conditions. Warm temperatures — without extreme heatwaves — encouraged excellent phenolic maturity. The berries became slightly more concentrated, with a very appealing sugar-to-acidity ratio for the future balance of the wines.

A few late-August thunderstorms brought just enough moisture to boost the ripening dynamic before harvest.

A “two-phase” harvest

We began harvesting on September 2nd, in weather conditions marked by alternating warmth and heavy rainfall. The overall conditions remained favorable, allowing us to keep a good picking pace — despite a one-day pause due to strong rain — while selecting only perfectly ripe grapes in excellent sanitary condition.

Our impressions of the 2025 vintage

At the estate, we welcomed this vintage with great enthusiasm.

  • Good quantity: after several years of limited volumes, we are pleased with the 2025 harvest; yields have returned to a satisfying, yet moderate level, allowing us to preserve concentration.

  • Excellent sanitary state: despite the alternating heat and rain, we suffered no major damage; the grapes are healthy, berries intact, and sorting at harvest was carried out in ideal conditions.

  • Beautiful concentration and intense color: from the moment the grapes entered the cellar, the density of the juice was striking; the wines show a deep color and a promising potential of substance, structure, and ageing capacity.

In conclusion

The 2025 vintage promises wonderful things. It combines ripeness and freshness, density and balance — essential characteristics for a terroir-driven wine that will express itself beautifully over time. We are confident and excited to soon share with you the cuvées born from this remarkable harvest.
